Author Yolanda Renée´s Review.
Yolanda rated Guardian of the Gate Bloodline as

" This highly imaginative writer has given us our next movie blockbuster..."

Guardian of the Gate: Bloodline is a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The story becomes a movie in your mind as you read each page. I read this book in one sitting, and when I turned the last page, was disappointed that it had ended.
New author Darren Poole has created believable characters, even his angels and demons have human traits that we all recognize. As evil tries to take over the world, a dance hall owner, bartender, waitress, cook, and police detective attempt to foil their plan.
This highly imaginative writer has given us our next movie blockbuster. I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to the next novel in this series, and much more from this talented and creative writer.

"Fantastic..."

This has got to be one of the best vampire come paranormal books I have ever read. I love the story, and I love the fallen angel Nathaniel too. This book was bought for me by a friend, I had no idea who the author was, but he has me hooked now. The plot is addictive, fast paced and packed full of action. As I was reading it, it was like watching a movie at the same time. Fantastic!

Thanks to Spinetinglers for this review. Spinetinglers Website Spinetinglers have rated Guardian of the Gate Bloodline and have entered it into the Spinetinglers book of the year competition 2009.

"Mortal souls are in dire need of a guardian. Now, they have one..."

Nathanial is a fallen angel, cast out from Heaven and spurned by Hell. He has no choice but to live among us and to make amends for his past sins.
Tina has lived a life filled with tragedy, but she has an ancient destiny which she must fulfill. When these two creatures meet, events begin to spiral out of control. Vampires, angels, and demons collide, and the war has just begun...
The author, Darren Poole, describes his debut novel as an action-packed, supernatural thriller and that is exactly what it is. Poole borrows from all genres to create a book filled to the brim with energy, yet, a bit rough around the edges. Spinetinglers would describe Guardian of the Gate: Bloodline, as a real page-turner, as its ever-quickening pace is relentless.
In terms of action, it has everything -- mighty battles among all manner of mythical creatures, with some twists and turns along the way.
Although, Guardian of the Gate: Bloodline is jam-packed with bloody confrontations, this does come at a price, that is, the characters have little time to develop. However, this novel is the beginning of a series, and I have no doubt that Poole will be fleshing out his main characters and filling in some juicy back-stories in future installments of Guardian of the Gate.
In short, Guardian of the Gate: Bloodline is an electrifying glimpse into what Poole can offer his readership. As a first novel, it stands apart because of its dynamic and intriguing concept and also because this series has oodles of potential to fascinate, as well as to enthrall.
Guardian of the Gate: Bloodline will certainly grab your attention; however, in his next installment, Darren Poole needs to hang onto that attention.

"Takes me back to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, just a lot darker..."

Really action packed story, I could not put it down. The grammar lets it down a little otherwise I would have given it 5/5. Takes me back to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, just a lot darker. Recommended read.
